He is survived by his mother, Juanita; sons, Frank III and Peter; brothers, Dennis, Stanley and John; sisters, Lori and Frances. They share three grandchildren. MAE BLEAKIE BOETTCHER, 88, matriarch of the family that donated their five-acre Kailua estate to the state park system, land that eventually became Kalama Beach Park, died June 17, 2001. She was a Denver philanthropist and the longest tenured trustee of the Boettcher Foundation. Since 1980 she resided in Colorado with her longtime companion, Edith Wang. Mainland service held.

LOUIS EDWARD CASTEL, 82, of Honolulu, died June 29, 2001. Born in Honolulu. A retired City and County of Honolulu employee. Survived by nieces and nephews; an aunt. Graveside service 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at Diamond Head Memorial Park. Casual attire.
