With the release of his "Finding My Way" CD, Daniel Ho — a composer, musician, producer and award-winning recording artist — is launching a three-island series of concerts in July.

The disc assembles several Island artists, some known and established, others new and eager for fame, performing a gamut of new music, co-composed by Ho.

The performances will showcase the new music, as well as the roster of singers.

The play dates:

  • Maui: July 20 at 7:30 p.m., at the Maui Ocean Center at Ma'alaea. Tickets: $25. Information: (808) 270-7000.
  • O'ahu: July 21 at 7 p.m., at Mamiya Theatre, St. Louis Center for the Arts. Tickets: $20 for adults, $15 for youths 17 and under, and for Oceanic Cable Kupa'a members. Information: 599-5775.
  • Big Island: July 22 at 7 p.m., Naniloa Hotel, in Hilo. Tickets: $25 (includes $5 drink credit). Information: (808) 969-3333.

Ho, a Na Hoku Hanohano Award-winning artist, collaborated with Lehua Kalama Heine in composing this year's Song of the Year winner, "Saving Forever," which is included on the new CD.

The Honolulu concert is entitled "Daniel Ho ... Coming Home."

He is a St. Louis graduate who has become a successful and active recording and concert artist based in Los Angeles.

Among the performing artists are Lina Girl Langi of Oceanic Cable's "Local Kine Grindz" show; 'ukulele soloist Jake Shimabukuro of Colon and formerly of Pure Heart; singer Sachi Sato, a collaborator with Ho on most of the songs; singer Andrea Gomez Tukuafu, the former University of Hawai'i Wahine volleyball star; and singer Siena Lee.

Ho also records with a jazz group, Kilauea, based in Los Angeles, and fellow Hoku winner George Kahumoku Jr.
