• Former Bishop Museum executive JEFF BELL has been named senior vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer of SERVCO PACIFIC INC., charged with overseeing accounting and financial operations for the Servco family of companies. Bell, who most recently held exactly the same trio of positions with Bishop Museum, is a triathlete with seven Tinman competitions under his belt, and is on the board of directors for Aloha Festivals Inc. He is a former senior manager and 15-year veteran of Ernst & Young.

• Local photonics and hyperspectral imaging and processing firm, Science and Technology International (STI) has hired WILL ALAMEIDA as senior vice president of corporate development and administration. The longtime veteran of both startup and large technology companies is charged with overseeing STI's corporate development, planning, finance, human resources and corporate communications functions. He has also worked for Raytheon, Apple and Alexander and Baldwin. STI uses state-of-the-art optical imaging sensors to detect submarines, mines, cancer, coral reef characterizations and environmental problems, and volunteers equipment for search-and-rescue operations.

• KEITH McCLINTOCK, most recently senior loan officer at Mortgage Plus, has been named vice president of the residential loan department of Finance Factors Ltd. He will be responsible for all retail, residential real estate loans, including those sold in the second market and to other mortgage investors.

• Thomas S. Witten has been promoted to president of local planning and landscape architectural firm, PBR Hawai'i, succeeding W. FRANK BRANDT, 30-year president and founding member, who becomes chairman of the firm. Witten had been executive vice president and managing principal of the firm. Other firm promotions include new executive vice presidents, R. Stan Duncan and Russell Y.J. Chung.

• Central Pacific Bank has announced a number of promotions within the bank: NORMAN H. OSUMI, former bank vice president, Financial Technologies Division-Systems and Programming, and former 22-year veteran of Bank of Hawai'i, promoted to vice president and manager; ESTELLE IWAMURA, promoted vice president and manager, Quality and Training Division, from vice president of the training department, Human Resources Division; and ANNETTE OKAMOTO-SIERRA, promoted to assistant vice president and assistant manager, from assistant vice president in the Marketing Division.

• Locally owned and managed property and casualty insurance carrier, Island Insurance Companies has named CIZETTE SATO senior underwriter in the Commercial Insurance Division. The 15-year industry veteran was previously with CGU, a merger of Commercial Union and General Accident Insurance companies, in California.
