$300 million redevelopment will be in two phases.

• Phase I, scheduled to begin in 2003, will include the razing of the Edgewater Lanais, the 'Ohana Coral Seas and the 'Ohana Edgewater to make way for a $75 million redevelopment project that will create retail, entertainment and meeting/banquet areas.

Phase I is scheduled for completion in 2005.

• Phase II, to begin in 2006, will include the demolition of the Malihini Hotel, the 'Ohana Reef Lanais and the 'Ohana Royal Islander to make way for a new 890-room Outrigger hotel.

Phase II is scheduled to be completed by 2010.

• No job losses are expected. Staff cuts will be handled through attrition, or transfers to other Outrigger and 'Ohana Waikiki hotels as positions open.
