University of Hawai'i football fans who are unable to attend the rescheduled Oct. 26 game between the Warriors and Fresno State will have to turn in their season tickets to get a refund, the University of Hawai'i has announced.
The game was moved from Oct. 27 to accommodate ESPN and facilitate the network's new three-year agreement with the Western Athletic Conference.
A UH spokesman said school policy is not to accept a refund for just one game, and season-ticket holders would have to ask for a refund of their entire package to be reimbursed for the game.
Jim Donovan, UH associate athletic director, said actual season tickets won't be mailed until late August and fans have until then to request a refund by calling 944-Bows.
"We're hoping most season-ticket holders will be able to find a way to attend; we need a large crowd for the game which, hopefully, will be for the WAC championship," Donovan said.
Donovan said the university has sold approximately 24,700 season tickets and has had "a few" requests for refunds.
