Missing soldier found injured today
A 25th Infantry Division (Light) soldier who had been missing on a training assignment in Wahiawa since yesterday afternoon was found injured today, an Army spokeswoman said.
The soldier was found at approximately 8 a.m., said Capt. Stacy Bathrick, chief of media relations.
Military police, Kiowa Warrior helicopters, soldiers from Schofield Barracks and the Federal Fire Department were actively involved in searching the East Range area for the soldier.
The soldier apparently suffered back injuries after falling into a gulch.
"He made his way to a home in Wahiawa and called the military police station," Bathrick said. "We immediately called the ambulance to take him to the hospital."
The soldier was taken to Wahiawa General Hospital. The age of the soldier was not immediately known, Bathrick said.

The rescue operation finished at 12:21 a.m. today when the boat landed on shore. No injuries were reported, Cordeiro said.
