Kaio wins July sumo title

Ozeki (champion) Kaio threw down Hawai'i yokozuna (grand champion) Musashimaru today to clinch the July Grand Sumo Tournament at Nagoya, Japan.

Kaio improved to 13-1 with one day remaining. Musashimaru (Wai'anae's Fiamalu Penitani) fell into a three-way tie for second at 11-3.

The victory gave Kaio his third Emperor's Cup trophy.
