Win a Tiffany diamond at theater benefit
Advertiser Staff
The Hawaii Theatre is playing host to a benefit, "Popcorn & Diamonds," with jewelers Tiffany & Co. at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 11.
Before an 8 p.m. screening of Audrey Hepburn's "Breakfast at Tiffany's," benefit-goers will be treated to cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and popcorn in the second-floor banquet area (though not in the theater itself, as kernels in the historic auditorium are strictly verboten). The 1961 classic also stars George Peppard.
Afterward, a one-carat Tiffany solitaire diamond pendant will be given away.
The event was the brainchild of Edward Gerard, the vice president of the Hawai'i region for Tiffany & Co., whose company will have a traveling exhibit of diamond jewelry on display during the event. The complete traveling collection, which includes pieces from Tiffany's archives, will be on view Aug. 1 to 28 at Tiffany & Co. at Ala Moana Center.
Tickets: $75, with proceeds benefiting the Hawaii Theatre Center. For information: 791-1302.
