A 71-year-old 'Ewa Beach man died when his Honda Accord was struck by a Cadillac about 9 a.m. yesterday at Fort Weaver Road and Laulaunui Street.

Injured woman helped off trail

A 56-year-old visitor from Texas was helped off the Manoa Falls Trail yesterday after she injured her foot.

Fire rescue crews were called to the trail about 4 p.m. after the woman apparently suffered a broken foot. Fire spokesman Capt. Kenison Tejada said the woman was about 900 yards up the trail when she was injured.

The woman was carried out of the trail and taken by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment. Tejada said she was in "good spirits."
