Vehicle fire suspicious

Police believe a car fire that caused an estimated $8,000 in damage in Kahala today was deliberately set.

Police said the fire happened at about 4 a.m. when a 1995 Ford Mustang caught fire in the driveway of a home at 3671 Keanu St.

Police said a barking dog roused the sleeping resident, who discovered the car ablaze. No injuries were reported. A police arson investigator responded to the scene today.
