LOCAL INTEREST: "Na Mele: Traditions in Hawaiian Song" 7:30 p.m., PBS (repeats 10 p.m. Sunday). Nina Keali'iwahamana and Bill Kaiwa, both regulars on the "Hawai'i Calls" radio show in its Moana Hotel heyday, join Martin Pahinui on vocals and bass, Steven Hall on vocals and guitar and George Kuo on vocals for a half-hour program.

TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE: "Friends," 7 p.m., NBC. Ever wonder how people lose so gracefully? At Academy Award ceremonies, cameras simultaneously show four people looking like joyous losers. On the second "Survivor" a guy seemed downright ecstatic about not winning a $1 million. This doesn't come naturally, of course. In this funny rerun, Joey — up for a soap-opera award — gets lessons from Rachel in the art of losing.

"Big Brother 2," 7 p.m., CBS. Speaking of losers, it's time to see which one of the housemates will be the third to get the boot.

"Gilmore Girls," 7 p.m., WB. In this rerun, Lorelei convinces her daughter to go to a dance at the new school. Naturally, that causes complications for everyone.

"Spy TV," 7:30 p.m., NBC. Some guys think they're auditioning to become wrestlers. Instead they're put through some truly strange demands.

"CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," 8 p.m., CBS. This rerun follows an investigation after three people are killed in a carjacking.

"Night Visions," 8 p.m., FOX. Luke Perry plays a doctor who has his own technique — he simply absorbs his patients' illnesses. It's a great plan — except that now he has them.

"ER," 9 p.m., NBC. An accident at a salon sends lots of beauty-pageant contestants to the emergency room.
