You and your kids can pet a llama, purchase locally-grown produce and enjoy carnival rides, all at the Hawaii State Farm Fair.

The 29th annual fair, sponsored by the Hawaii Farm Bureau Federation, will be held at Aloha Stadium Friday through next Sunday, as well as Aug. 10-12 and Aug. 16-19. Fair hours will be 6 p.m.-midnight Friday, and Aug. 10 and 16; and noon-midnight Aug. 17, and all Saturdays and Sundays. Highlights include hands-on classes and demonstrations, the Meadow Gold Petting Zoo and Keiki Krafts area, a plant sale, entertainment and more. Also featured will be the Flying Espaöas, an extreme-action group, with shows at 8 and 10 p.m. Friday, and August 10 and 16, and 2, 5 and 9 p.m. Aug. 17; and all Saturdays and Sundays.

Admission to the fair is $3 for adults, $1.50 for children ages 5-12 and free for children ages 4 and younger. Special promotions include free admission for two with an empty half-gallon carton of Meadow Gold or Viva Milk, all night Friday. Call 848-2074 for more information about the fair or other deals.
