Surprise — and congrats! Diamond Head Theatre's managing director Deena Dray tied the knot with PR exec Peter Rosegg in Italy May 31. They had been an "item" for quite a while ...

Speaking of Italy, artist Kim Taylor Reece and his wife, Kanoe, are off to Venice, Rome and Milan next month. Reece will proceed to Basel and Berne, Switzerland, to do one-man shows of his award-winning photographs. His hula images are finding a European audience. In Italy, Reece will photograph Mareva Minervi, former Hawaii State Ballet dancer, who now performs there. In Rome, he'll do a radio interview and help promote, among others, such Hawaiian CDs as "Pure Hawaiian," the compilation disc that sports his cover image ...

Lon Bentley, make-up artist, also is on the road. He has been in Milan doing make-up for Robert Wagner, who was to receive an award equivalent to the Emmy for his contributions to international TV; the likes of Sophia Loren and Ali McGraw are supporting Wagner. Bentley also is trekking to Monte Carlo for work with Linda Evans. Since he has been Tom Selleck's official make-up man for years, wonder if he'll do the honors when Selleck appears this fall in "A Thousand Clowns" on Broadway? ...

Jack Cione is back from a New York visit and managed to get a ticket to "The Producers" by standing in the cancellation line. He had to pay $150, however ...

A host of Islanders attended (the reception was at the Pebble Beach Club), including Cherye and Jim Pierce, Indru and Gulab Watumull, Judy and Paul Rasmussen, Marie Keenan, Monene Bradley, Judy Jordan and Lisa Josephsohn (who is the bride's godmother). The new Mrs. Rozen just got her veterinary degree from Tufts University and will practice in California ...
