OMAHA, Neb. — Chris O'Riordan's go-ahead RBI single in the 10th inning led Stanford to a 5-2 victory over Cal State-Fullerton in the College World Series last night.

With the score tied at 1, Brian Hall led off the 10th with a single off Chad Cordero (3-4) and moved to second on a wild pitch.

Scott Dragicevich popped up a bunt, and first baseman Aaron Rifkin, running toward home on the play, dived for the ball halfway down the line. The ball hit off Rifkin's glove in fair territory, and Hall beat catcher Brett Kay's throw to third to put runners on first and third and no outs.

Hall scored on O'Riordan's single through the right side. Sam Fuld followed with a two-run triple off Mike Nunez, and Ryan Garko's sacrifice fly made it 5-1.

J.D. Willcox pitched 1á relief innings for his second win of the College World Series. He gave up an RBI single to David Bacani in the 10th before Jeff Bruksch got the last out for his second save of the series.

Stanford advanced to the winner's bracket and won't play again until Wednesday night. Cal State-Fullerton (47-17), the top seed, will play Tulane in an elimination game tomorrow.

Tulane 6, Nebraska 5: Jake Gautreau's leadoff homer sparked a four-run sixth inning, and Tulane (56-12) held off the Cornhuskers the rest of the way.

Tulane sent the home-state Cornhuskers back to Lincoln, Neb., without a CWS win.
