Big Island coffee company expands to South Kohala, Hilo

HOLUALOA, Hawai'i — Ueshima Coffee Company Hawai'i has announced plans to expand its Kona coffee retail operations with outlets in South Kohala and Hilo.

Ueshima Coffee Company Ltd., which owns UCC Hawai'i, is Japan's largest coffee firm and the seventh largest importer in the world.

Yoshiaki "Jose" Kawashima, executive vice president, said the new locations are the Nani Mau Gardens south of Hilo and Hilton Waikoloa Village's Discover Waikoloa Gift Shop.

UCC Hawai'i operates a sales site in Kona at its factory outlet on Napo'opo'o Road, above Kealakekua Bay.
