'Aiea firm forms joint venture

PixelWorld Networks Inc., an 'Aiea-based distributor of online video, said it has agreed to form a joint venture with Santa Monica, Calif.-based Steeplechase Media Inc., headed by Larry Namer, founder of E! Entertainment Television.

PixelWorld, founded in 1998 by CEO Greg Murphy, has developed a patent-pending technology for the distribution of live and on-demand video. The joint venture will develop applications using the proprietary system.
