Hau'ula businessman LINDBERG CHING, longtime owner of Lindy's Foods and a person was known for his generous donations to schools and sports programs, died June 4 after a two-year battle with cancer. He was 73. See story.

JOAQUIN "JAKE" SALOMON CRODUA, 85, of Waipahu, died June 10, 2001. Born in Loon, Bohol, Philippines. A machinist, retired bus driver and member of Kingdom of Jesus Christ, Waipahu.
