The girl told police she was walking along the 3100 block of Wai'alae Avenue near Second Avenue about 4:30 p.m. Police said the man pulled into the driveway of a Pizza Hut restaurant and blocked her path.

The driver threw open the passenger door, which hit the victim in the stomach, and ordered the girl to get into the vehicle, the girl told police.

The girl ran away and the suspect followed her for several blocks as she ran home.

Her family called police and the suspect fled, police said. The girl was taken to an area hospital for observation.

The suspect is described as an Asian-Caucasian man in his 40s, with neck-length black hair, medium build and pale complexion, and wearing a white T-shirt and a blue baseball cap.

His vehicle was described as a late '80s-early '90s model, dark blue Pontiac Trans Am with "Trans Am" in gold lettering on the driver's side. The license plate number is unknown.
