Discover how solar energy and electricity work while enjoying games and activities at "Family Sunday: Fun in the Sun It's Electric!", 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. next Sunday at Bishop Museum.
The event, sponsored by the Hawaiian Electric Co., will allow keiki to make their own sundials, paint stained-glass suncatchers, race solar cars, listen to storytellers and more. There will food and entertainment. Adults and children can marvel at "The Robot Zoo," an exhibit about animal robots, which is on display from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily through Sept. 3 at the museum. Visitors can meet robot inventors and watch demonstrations of robotic skills from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday.
Residents and military with valid ID pay $3 per person, $10 for a family of four (two adults, two children ages 4-12), and Bishop Museum Association members and children under age 4 are free; nonresidents, $14.95 per person. Call 848-4160 for information.
