Delicious food, family fun

The Taste of Honolulu, which runs Friday through next Sunday, isn't just about 'ono grinds. There also will be loads of fun for the keiki at the Weinberg Foundation Family Center, from noon to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday on the Honolulu Civic Center grounds next to Honolulu Hale.

The center, at the 'ewa end of the event site, will offer educational games, ceramic painting, a petting zoo, pony rides, a "tsunami wave slide" and more. The nearby Family Center Stage will feature acts such as Fresh Impact and Olena Blend on Saturday and Marty Dread on Sunday.

The Taste of Honolulu will run 5 to 10 p.m. Friday, noon to 10 p.m. Saturday and noon to 7 p.m. Sunday. It is Hawai'i's largest outdoor food, wine and entertainment festival. Admission is $3; free for children ages 12 and under and people 55 and older. Proceeds will benefit the Easter Seals Children's Program.
