• The U.S. Census Bureau, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, will present a series of free workshops on O'ahu, Kaua'i and Big Island this week to share updated information from Census 2000. The workshops, "Making it count for Hawai'i," can be helpful when demographic information is used to support proposals for community grants. The speaker will be Census Bureau information services specialist Jerry Wong of the Los Angeles regional office. U.S. Rep. Neil Abercrombie is among the sponsors and hosts for the series.
