Public access TV offers video camp

KAHULUI, Maui — Youths ages 12-17 will get the chance to produce a music video during a weeklong summer video camp offered by Akaku: Maui Community Television.

Participants will learn how to use the public access station's studio and control room while serving as camera operators, audio checkers and switchers.

Three camp sessions will be offered: Today through June 22, June 25-29 and July 16-20. Hours are 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The fee is $75.

Parkinson's support group formed

WAILUKU, Maui — The Maui County Office on Aging and Kaunoa Senior Services are co-sponsoring the new Maui Parkinson's Disease Support Group.

The group will meet from 10 to 11 a.m. on the last Wednesday of each month at the Kaunoa Senior Center in Spreckelsville.

The first meeting is scheduled June 27.

Other sponsors of the support group include the Hawai'i Parkinson Association and the Kuakini Parkinson's Disease Information and Referral Center.
