Highlights of the deal

All Liberty House stores and assets sold to Federated Department Stores Inc.
Stores will retain the Liberty House name for the near-term, but will ultimately be converted to Macy's.
All employees will be able to apply for positions with Federated; few employees are expected to be affected.
One specialty shop at the Marketplace on Kauai will be closed. Three workers there will be offered jobs at the Kukui Grove store.
Terms of the deal, including purchase price, were not disclosed.
Cincinnati-based Federated operates 432 stores in 33 states and Puerto Rico.
Administrative and some senior management functions will be consolidated into Macy's West's San Francisco headquarters.
