• Some 50,000 Marines, members of the 2nd and 5th Marine Divisions and the V Amphibious Corps, were stationed at Camp Tarawa in Waimea, Hawai'i, between 1941 and 1945. Because of a reporter's error, a story posted Thursday incorrectly characterized the nature of the units stationed there.

• A photo of composer Muriel Flanders and record producer Jon de Mello, appearing in an Island Life story posted Sunday, was taken at her daughter Mary Philpotts McGrath's Nu'uanu home. A different location was listed in the caption.

• A chart accompanying a Business story posted Sunday incorrectly stated the 1999 gross salary for Eric Gill of the Hotel Employees and Restaurant Employees Local 5. Gill was not employed by Local 5 in 1999.
