New OHA executive named

Amid charges the decision had been rigged, Office of Hawaiian Affairs trustees today chose state courts deputy administrator Clyde Namu'o as new executive of the troubled agency. The vote was 5-2.
OHA chairwoman Haunani Apoliona said he was the best of six finalists for the job because of his passion for the plight of the Hawaiian people and strong organizational background.
But trustees Rowena Akana, Linda Dela Cruz and Charles Ota charged the vote had been rigged.
