Fourth of July musical planned

"America, My Home," a Fourth of July musical celebration, will be staged at 4 p.m. July 1 at Kawaiaha'o Church. It features the Brass & Percussion Ensemble of the Navy's Pacific Fleet Band.

The ensemble includes trumpets, trombones, French horns, euphoniums and tubas, complemented by a full percussion section. It is the newest addition to the Pacific Fleet Band.

Lt. Ralph Barrett is conductor; the performance will be his last with the band.

Admission is free.

Nashville trio at La Pietra

Three Nashville musicians will perform at the La Pietra-Hawai'i School for Girls' first All-School Reunion Paniolo BBQ at 6 p.m. today on campus.

The entertainers are Pam Gadd, Robin Buddy and Terri Corker, who have worked with a host of country performers on the Mainland, in concert and in recording sessions.

Bobby Moderow of Maunalua also will perform.

The event is open to La Pietra grads, family and others.

Tickets for the public: $25.
