Testing keiki thinking for fun

By Jean Chow
Advertiser Staff Writer

Mind-boggling fun and games for Island keiki will be in abundance at Pearlridge Center starting July 1.

"Amazing Mazes and Puzzling Puzzles" offers an enjoyable learning experience for kids, pre-kindergarten age and up, as they venture through interactive displays throughout the retail center. From navigating the Hourglass and the Arrow mazes to playing life-size tic-tac-toe and checkers, the exhibit aims to help children develop critical reasoning and strategic thinking skills.

The six "Amazing Mazes" are traveling to Hawai'i for the first time as the shopping center's fifth annual summer educational exhibit and will run from July 1-22, noon-8 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays, and noon-5 p.m. Sundays. The four-week event is free. School groups can arrange field trips for a nominal fee . Call 488-0981 for information.
