Weddings

Sandra Kay L. Shintani, daughter of Jim and Jane Shintani of Pearl City, married Jon K. Okamoto, son of George and June Okamoto of Kahului, on May 19 at First Presbyterian Church of Honolulu. The reception followed at the Radisson Waikiki Prince Kuhio hotel. The bride, now Sandra Kay L. Okamoto, is a flight attendant. The groom, formerly of Kahului, is a flight attendant. Regina Ilene Stanphill, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charley T. Craig, married Gilbert Seichi Hokada, son of Garret Hokada of Honolulu and the late Grace Hokada, on Dec. 29 at Manoa Valley Church. The reception followed at the church. The bride (1969 West High), now Regina Ilene Hokada, formerly of Bakersfield, Calif., is a medical assistant and has two children, Tabitha Coleman, 29, and Josh Brewton, 24. The groom (1974 Roosevelt High) is an auto mechanic. They live in Honolulu. (Pictured.)

Engagements

Kristy Ikeda and Michael Kawika Lum have announced their engagement. Ikeda, of Honolulu, daughter of Albert and Luzmar Ikeda of Kailua, is a guest service representative. Lum, of Honolulu, son of Leonette Pullar of Honolulu, is a tour coordinator. They plan to be wed Aug. 12 in Honolulu.

Kelly Reiko Ogata and Mark Mamoru Miyamoto have announced their engagement. Ogata, of Wahiawa, daughter of Ichiji and Alice Ogata of Wahiawa, is a registered nurse. Miyamoto, of Hilo, son of Jerry and Barbara Miyamoto of Mililani, is a teacher. They plan to marry July 21 in Kahuku.
