• Former state Tax Director Ray Kamikawa will outline the high-tech tax incentives in the recently-enacted Act 221 at an upcoming luncheon meeting of the Hawai'i Venture Capital Association. Kamikawa was architect of the act, which includes 100 percent investment tax credits to angel and institutional venture capital investors. He is currently a partner in the law firm of Chun, Kerr, Dodd, Beaman & Wong. The meeting will begin with registration at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at The Plaza Club, Pioneer Plaza. The program, sponsored by the local chapter of the National Contract Management Association, will include representatives of the military, and U.S. Small Business and U.S. General Services administrations.
