Okinawa university to honor Mortimer

Outgoing University of Hawai'i President Kenneth P. Mortimer will receive an honorary degree tomorrow from University of the Ryukyus of Okinawa.

The degree, the first given to someone outside Japan and only the second in the history of the Okinawa university, is in recognition of Mortimer's commitment to the relationship between the two universities.
