Husband accused in ex-wife attack

Police yesterday charged a 38-year-old man with kidnapping, first-degree assault and second-degree assault in an attack on his ex-wife Wednesday in her Kuhio Park Terrace apartment.

Clinton Vincent, who has no permanent address, is being held in lieu of $500,000 bail. Vincent, who has four prior convictions for abusing a household member, violated a stay-away court order by going to the woman's apartment twice early Wednesday morning.

Man, 54, suspect in money scam

A 54-year-old Nanakuli man has been arrested on suspicion of running a fraudulent investment scheme that bilked a Kalihi man of $50,000 from September 1997 to February 2000. The suspect and his wife are both under investigation for prior scams.

Police looking for military runaway

Military and Honolulu police are seeking information concerning the whereabouts of 21-year-old Joshua Miller, who is wanted for desertion from the Army, drug offenses at Schofield Barracks and theft in Waikiki.

Miller left March 21. He was last seen May 18 at a condominium on Nohonani Street in Waikiki. He is 5 feet 8, 140 pounds and has a tattoo of Egyptian eyes on his left wrist.
