HOME SWEET HOME: Anthony Ruivivar, home for the memorial service for his late uncle, Francis Ruivivar, last Sunday, says his NBC-TV series, "Third Watch," has been picked up for a third season, with filming starting up in mid-July. There will be a time slot change, an hour earlier, on Mondays, where it will be opposite "Ally McBeal" (Fox) and "Everybody Loves Raymond" (CBS) and during the fall football season, Monday Night Football (ABC). Ruivivar has blossomed into a savvy young actor and is quite the opposite of the Carlos Nieto paramedic character he portrays ...
Also home: Traci Toguchi, the former Miss Hawai'i, weary of pounding the pavement in New York and in Los Angeles. "I feel that the quality of life is important to me right now: beautiful weather, good people and good food. I've eaten at Zippy's practically every day since I've been back (in March)." Over the past four years, she did NBC-TV's "Passions" soap opera, a couple of indie films and worked for an entertainment lawyer (whose clients include the likes of Bette Midler, Dolly Parton, Whoopi Goldberg, LeAnn Rimes, Bon Jovi, Heather Locklear). Now she's singing with a new band, Powerhouse, on July 7 at the Mai Tai Bar, Ala Moana Center ...
WHEE, THE PEOPLE: When Jim Nabors taped a segment for "Emme and Friends," airing at 6:30 p.m. tomorrow on KGMB-TV, he told host Emme Tomimbang that his dog just had seven puppies. Their names? Tomimbang dined with Olympic gold medalist Kristi Yamaguchi, along with Home and Garden TV's Jan Yanehiro (Farrington grad) the other night at Roy's. They discussed Yamaguchi's Always Dream Foundation's plans to do a summer sports camp next year for Hawaii Centers for Independent Living's youth with disabilities program. No wonder HCI exec director Mark Obatake is excited ...
Ali Landry and Mario Lopez, who are an "item," dined with Brew Moon's Mark Bender at D.K. Kodama's Sansei at Restaurant Row one night and showed up at the Royal Garden another night. Look for her (the Doritos girl) in August's "Replicate" film; the "Pacific Blue" hunk will co-host NBC's new "The Other Half" show, debuting at 10 a.m. weekdays following the "Today" show ...
Don Ho's Island Grill wasn't part of "Taste of Honolulu," but it had a presence when chef Mariano Lalica won the "Ready, Set, Cook" competition with his pepper-crusted Hawaiian fish topped with a ginger-citrus glaze ...

Iron Maiden's David Murray and actress Denise Richardson were among the celebs spotted recently at Ruth's Chris Steak House at The Shops at Wailea on Maui ...
FILM LOOPS: Hoku Ho's "The Perfect Day" song, heard in the soundtrack of "Legally Blonde," the Reese Witherspoon film bowing July 12, appears to be chart-bound. It's No. 6 on Los Angeles' KISS Radio's request chart, and MTV soon will air it, too. Hoku joined dad Don Ho in his Del Mar Fair gig last night in San Diego. Ho should be back Tuesday at the Waikiki Beachcomber Hotel ...
Entertainer Keith Haugen is back from an East Coast visit to see new grandson Kaleo in Plymouth, Mass. He was also invited to a premier of "Walking Shadow," a made-for-TV "Spenser for Hire" movie with Joe Montegna (instead of Robert Urich) in the lead ...
