TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE (Network TV): "Soul Food" (1997), 8 p.m., ABC. Here is a little gem of a movie beautifully written, directed and acted. When a buoyant old woman (Irma P. Hall) turns ill, her daugh-ters (Vanessa L. Williams, Vivica Fox and Nia Long) are thrown into turmoil. There's warmth, humor, tragedy and a wonderful ending.

TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE (cable): "Six Feet Under," 9 p.m. (analog channel 46), 6 p.m. (digital channel 611), HBO. If you haven't started watching this terrific series, which normally airs on Sundays, here's the first four episodes rerun. We see Peter Krause ("Sports Night") as the brother who tried to avoid the family funeral business. Now that his dad has died he's forced back into the family firm.

"Rock Across America" premiere, 6-10 a.m., repeats 4-8 p.m. VH1. Jenna Lewis, a "Survivor" survivor, hosts a show that looks at summertime fun.
