No snack for new kid on the pew

My granddaughter, who is non-Catholic, recently started kindergarten in a Catholic school. After her introduction to religion, the students attended Mass in church. When she got home, her mother asked her how her day went. She replied that at church, some people had punch and cookies while others didn't.

The other children actually had had communion, but my granddaughter couldn't understand why she was left out of the treat.
