Got a car question?
Here's your chance to get the answer. George Nitta, who is the host for a car talk show, will be at Windward Mall from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday to answer all your pressing car questions.
And he knows a little something about cars. Not only is he the host of "Automotive 101" on KGU 760 AM (previously on KHVH 830 AM), a weekly talk show about everything automotive, Nitta also has owned an auto repair shop since 1965.
From fender-benders to car insurance to illegal left-hand turns, Nitta has heard it all.
And he wants to bring some help to shoppers, loyal listeners and you.
Project Automotive 101 will take place at center stage on the mall's lower level, with Nitta and crew broadcasting the show live on KGU.
"It's about helping people take care of their cars and save money," Nitta said about his talk show. "We talk about everything involving a car. It's the one item everybody has."
Well, not younger kids. But that doesn't stop them from being fascinated with cars.
Nitta is also the founder of the Junior Dragster Program, which has about 150 members, all between 8 and 17, driving dragsters powered by lawnmower engines every Saturday at Hawai'i Raceway Park.
One of those cars, and some junior dragsters, will be at Windward Mall, too.
When you're done drooling over the spiffy car, learn about road rage, drunk driving, car maintenance and that new law concerning minors getting their driver's licenses.
