Wahine's Gonzales pitches perfect game

Senior right-hander Janelle Gonzales pitched a perfect game and struck out 15 in Hawai'i's 1-0 victory over McNeese State last night in the Wahine Invitational at Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium.
Gonzales retired all 21 batters she faced.
Kristin Anderson's second-inning homer accounted for the only run of the game.
The Wahine are 26-10, 4-0 in the tournament.
Earlier yesterday, Felicity Witt pitched a one-hit shutout and struck out 11 as the Wahine defeated Eastern Illinois 4-0.
Eastern Illinois got its only hit on a single to center field by leadoff hitter Carissa Friedewald to open the fourth inning.
Natalie Gonzales and Stacey Porter were both 2-for-3.
Eastern Illinois is 2-11, 1-3.
