Navy investigating man's death

The Navy continues to investigate the death of a man whose body was found near Waipahu Street.

Honolulu police said the body, found on Navy property around 2:25 p.m. Friday, was decomposed. A police helicopter flying over the area while searching for stolen cars spotted the body.

Honolulu police, who turned over the investigation to the Navy, said there were no apparent signs of foul play.

The police said they believe the man may have been a hiker who fell, or died of natural causes.
