Police probe possible bomb link

Police are investigating whether a series of recent bomb explosions in Windward O'ahu, Chinatown and Kailua are linked to the same person, a police spokeswoman said today.

Police spokeswoman Michelle Yu said police are looking for a link, but none has been confirmed.

The most recent bomb exploded Monday night at the Church of Christ at Kailua, 400 Maluniu Ave., and damaged a wooden bench, glass louvers and a portion of the building's gutter, police said.

The first bomb went off March 12 at the Koolau Golf Club, 45-550 Kionaole Road, and destroyed the mailbox. The second blast, at March 19 at Harbor Village Apartments, 901 River St., damaged the parking garage stairwell.

No one was injured in the three explosions.
