'Old School Days' set for Saint Louis

By Zenaida Serrano Espanol

The public is invited to celebrate "Old School Days" with Saint Louis School at its annual 'Ohana Festival from 1:30-10 p.m. Friday at Saint Louis' Gerber Field House.

The festival will incorporate the theme with a display of classic cars. Other attractions include a petting zoo, a computer-building contest, game booths, prizes, food and continuous live entertainment.

Festival-goers can also obtain raffle tickets (the suggested donation is $1) for prizes including travel and hotel packages, gift certificates, merchandise, cash prizes and a grand prize of $10,000.

Admission is free for the event, which is an annual fund-raiser for the school and student body. Money is raised through food and game booths.

The event's title takes its inspiration from the school's homecoming theme, "Everything Old is New Again." In addition to the festival, various in-school activities have taken place this year to commemorate past decades.

"We want the boys to gain a better appreciation for the tradition of the school," said Tim Los Banos, chairman of the 'Ohana Festival, "and hopefully they'll get some inspiration."
