Campbell rallies in 7th, beats Chargers, 6-5

Shauncey-Blaine Saito singled home Garrett Hermosura with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift the Campbell Sabers to a 6-5 victory over the Pearl City Chargers yesterday in an O'ahu Interscholastic Association Western Division game at Campbell.

Campbell's Josh Cutrer stole home earlier in the inning to tie the game at 5-all.

The Sabers improved to 5-1 and are tied with Pearl City (5-2) and Wai'anae (5-2) with 10 points each.

Mililani (6-1) leads the West with 12 points.

Shane Aihara batted 2-for-4 and Shawn Saito tripled and drove in two runs for Mililani.

'Aiea 8, Radford 1: Ranon Aquino, Ryken Ako and Matt Yoshimura combined on a six-hitter with six strikeouts as Na Ali'i defeated the Rams in a West game.

Aquino worked the first four innings, Ako pitched the fifth and Yoshimura worked the final two innings.

Casey Onaga's three-run homer sparked a six-run fifth inning for 'Aiea.

BALDWIN 19, KA'AHUMANUHOU 1: Second-seeded Baldwin sent 17 batters to the plate in an 11-run second inning as the Bears battered Ka'ahumanu Hou yesterday in a Maui Interscholastic League championship tournament game.

Baldwin starter Ryan Ricardo, a sophomore, struck out eight of the nine batters he faced in three innings. The game was stopped after five because of the 10-run mercy rule.
