AUGUSTINE KAMAKA DUARTE SR., 78, of Kailua-Kona, Hawai'i, died April 28, 2001. Born in Kuakini, O'ahu. Retired plumbing supervisor for the Pipe Fitters Union and member of the Silver Bullet Horse Shoe Club. Survived by wife, Mary Lilinoe; sons, Augustine Jr., Mark "Mac" and Wayne; brother, Richard; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. Magistrate of Hawai'i County 3rd District Court as well as high courts of the Trust Territories, American Samoa, Northern Marianas, U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit and all courts for the Republic of Palau and Territory of Guam. Member of Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin and Paradise Seniors. Survived by wife, Filomena; sons, Philip and Matthieu; daughters, Charmine Wela and Teresa Spaulding; brothers, Hajime, Masaru, Rodney and Calvin; sister, Yasue Kawasaki; four grandchildren.
