UH's Porter named WAC softball Player of Week

University of Hawai'i first baseman Stacy Porter was named Western Athletic Conference softball Player of the Week, the conference announced yesterday.
Porter, a freshman from Tamworth, New South Wales, Australia, was 5-for-11 this past week as the Wahine went 4-0 against San Jose State. She scored five runs, and had two home runs, a double and four RBIs.
Porter ranks sixth in the WAC in batting average (.308), second in doubles (15), and tied for third in home runs (5).
Portland State's Morgan Siebert was named Pitcher of the Week. In 32 innings this past week, she allowed 21 hits, struck out 24, walked two and allowed four earned runs for a 0.88 ERA in games against Oregon State and Tulsa.
