Kaiser beats Farrington, 14-5, in OIA baseball game

David Chu, Tommy Kam and Jason Morita each homered to boost Kaiser to a 14-5 victory over Farrington in an O'ahu Interscholastic Association Eastern Division baseball game at Joey DeSa Field yesterday.
The Cougars (7-1-1) lead Kailua (7-2) by a half-game in the OIA East.
Chu batted 4-for-4, including a two-run home run. Kam was 2-for-2 with a two-run homer and Morita was 2-for-4. Rylen Yamamoto was 2-for-4 with a double.
Paul Alan Dela Cruz went 2-for-3 for Farrington.

St. Francis advances: Elizabeth Narkon scored 17 points as St. Francis rallied in the fourth quarter to beat Mid-Pacific 51-48 to advance in the Interscholastic League of Honolulu girls basketball tournament for the league's second state berth.
St. Francis was down 29-20 at halftime and 39-36 after three quarters.
St. Francis, the Division II champion, is 13-2. Mid-Pacific finished 1-12.
Maryknoll faces University High at 5 p.m. and St. Francis plays Sacred Hearts at 6:30 p.m. at McCabe Gym today.
