As usual, the O'ahu Interscholastic Association Western Division baseball race is close.

Even more so than usual.
After a whirlwind of 25 games in eight days since play resumed following the teachers' strike, five teams are tied for second place behind division champion Campbell with 6-3 records.
OIA baseball coordinator Keith Morioka will have to apply the league's tiebreaker rules to see which three teams advance to the league's championship tournament starting Friday.
Kailua won the East championship when Roosevelt upset Kaiser, 7-2, yesterday. Kailua, which beat Castle 8-4, finished 8-2 to Kaiser's 7-2-1.
In the West, Campbell has the No. 1 seed.
'Aiea, Leilehua, Mililani, Pearl City and Wai'anae all had 6-3 records.
OIA EAST
Roosevelt 7, Kaiser 2: Chris Mols pitched a four-hitter with five strikeouts as the Rough Riders defeated the Cougars.
Ryan Kotani batted 4-for-4, and Bryson Villanueva and Brandon Loo each drove in two runs for the Rough Riders.
