Basketball

June 18-22—Sole Fundamentals Camp. At Manoa Valley District Park Gym. Sessions for boys and girls grades 5-7 and 8-10. ÊConducted by Ross Kinsley, boys varsity coach at ASSETS School. Softball

May 28 — Men's Slo-pitch Tournament deadline. Tournament starts June 3 at Waimanalo Beach Park. Fee: $185 (four-game minimum). Information: Mark 261-6925, 384-6925.


Swimming

Jr. Lifeguard Program 2001. Open to girls and boys 13-17. A five day course on CPR, surf rescue and other life-saving techniques. Courses run from June 18-Aug. 10. Registration deadline is June 1. Applicants must be strong swimmers. All sessions run Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Information: Mark Cunningham, 589-2251.

June 23 — Eyecatcher North Shore Swim Series Part One: Raging Isles Sprint. 1-mile swim from Sunset to 'Ehukai Beach Park. Fee: $20 per event. Information: Chris Moore 739-2112 or www.hawaiiswim.com.


Tennis

May 26-27 — Hawai'i Open. Men's and Women's Singles and Doubles. At Diamond Head Tennis Center. Fee $3.50 for singles, $5 for doubles. Entries close May 18. Information : Don Andrews 971-7150.

USA 1-2-3 Tennis Lessons. At Diamond Head Tennis Center. For beginners and advanced beginners, ages 6-13. Fee: six one-hour lessons for $18. Triathalon

May 21 — 21st Annual Tinman Triathalon deadline. Event is on Sunday, July 15. Start at Ala Moana Beach Park/Magic Island, finish at Kapi'olani Park, 5:45 a.m. 800-meter swim, 40-kilometer bike, 10-kilometer run. Entry fee: $55 (postmarked by May 21). Late fee: $65. Volleyball

Kaikamahine O Manoa—Looking for one (possibly two) U14 volleyball players (preferably middle blocker) interested in competing in local USAV tournaments and traveling to Davis, Calif., for Volleyball Festival June 19-July 1, 2001. Information: Kali Tarnay 988-7558.
