Swimming
Jr. Lifeguard Program 2001. Open to girls and boys 13-17. A five day course on CPR, surf rescue and other life-saving techniques. Courses run from June 18-Aug. 10. Registration deadline is June 1. Triathalon
May 21 21st Annual Tinman Triathalon deadline. Event is on Sunday, July 15. Start at Ala Moana Beach Park/Magic Island, finish at Kapi'olani Park, 5:45 a.m. 800-meter swim, 40-kilometer bike, 10-kilometer run. Entry fee: $55 (postmarked by May 21). Late fee: $65.
