The Left Lane
The name game

With the opening celebration this weekend for the new Henry R. Luce Pavilion Complex at the Honolulu Academy of Arts, you're going to have to master a cluster of new names in order to navigate the museum.

The Pavilion Cafe, which opens today, is the new name for the Garden Cafe. The facility itself is in the Luce Pavilion.

The name's the same for the Academy Theater, the hall showcasing films and other special programs, but the new wrinkle is the spelling of the word, theater. (No longer "theatre.") The Academy Shop, already open in the Luce wing, has added "the" to its official name.

Got all that?
