Ticket Plus gets military project
Advertiser Staff
Honolulu-based Ticket Plus Inc. yesterday said it has received a six-month contract to test its ticketing system with the Department of Defense's Morale, Welfare and Recreation Division market in Hawai'i.
The company said the contract is with the Navy Personnel Command, MWR Division, based in Millington, Tenn., and is the first joint venture of its kind with all four branches of the service.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The contract covers Pearl Harbor, Hickam Air Force Base, the Marine Corps base in Kane'ohe, Camp Smith, Schofield Barracks, Barking Sands and Kunia.
The test will be used to evaluate the company's ticketing system and fine-tune technical aspects of ordering, accounting and ticket products. Ticket Plus also will make online ticket orders available for MWR customers in Hawai'i during the test.
If the test is successful, MWR can elect to exercise options for four one-year agreements, Ticket Plus said.
