They were both all-state players for Iolani in 1998 and '99.

BYU, the regular-season conference winner, was 35-19 after yesterday.
TRACK AND FIELD UH's Kaffka 4th in heptathlon: University of Hawai'i sophomore Nicole Kaffka is fourth in the heptathlon after the first day of the Western Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships at Fresno, Calif. Kaffka, from West Vancouver, Canada, finished fourth in the high jump (5 feet, 1 1/4 inches) and 200 meters (26.63), was fifth in the shot put (30 feet, 1/4 inch) and sixth in the 100-meter hurdles (15.88).
Her hurdle time was a personal best and first sub-16-second time and her three other results were all seasonal bests.
