Road Runner rates going up
Advertiser Staff
Rates for Road Runner, the high-speed Internet service, will go up for new subscribers as it becomes costlier to connect customers with overseas Internet networks.
For the next year, however, current customers and those who sign up by June 8 still will pay $39.95 a month, said Kit Beuret, spokesman for Oceanic Cable, which delivers the service.
Even newer customers will receive $3 rebates through the end of the year, Beuret said. These discounts may be extended beyond the promised terms if costs permit, he said.
Correction: Kit Beuret is the spokesperson for Oceanic Cable. A previous version of this story gave an incorrect name.
