Weddings

Randi Y. Yamabe, daughter of Ellen Yamabe and Stanley Yamabe, both of Hilo, married Ricky K. Shibuya, son of Dennis and Janet Shibuya of Pearl City, on March 24 at Ko'olau Ballrooms. A reception followed at the ballrooms. The bride (Hilo High, University of Hawai'i-Manoa bachelor's), formerly of Hilo, now Randi Y. Shibuya, is an elementary school teacher. The groom (Pearl City High, UH-Manoa bachelor's), formerly of Pearl City, is a teacher. They live in Waipahu.

Engagements

Kenneth and Beatrice Masuda of Pearl City, and J. Chris and Kay Steffen of Fairbury, Ill., have announced the engagement of their children, Jenny Hiromi Masuda and Clinton Alf Steffen. Masuda, formerly of Pearl City, and Steffen live in Chenoa, Ill. They plan to marry June 30 in Chenoa.
